NAMM 2020 - HIWATT ‘UNITED’ NEW BRITISH INVASION STARTS AT 2020 NAMM!

For Immediate Release:
HIWATT ‘UNITED’ NEW BRITISH INVASION STARTS AT 2020 NAMM!
Legendary UK Amplifier Manufacturer consolidates global trademarks
Looking for international distributors and US reps and dealers

The historic British Amplifier brand, Hiwatt, and official trademarks for Hiwatt across the world - have been reunited! Managing Director, Darren Atkinson says; “It was a tough go of it to bring it all back together” , “The trademarks for such key markets like the USA and Europe were split between different entities, so that situation had to be rectified before any successful re-launch of this great brand could truly begin”.
Keen on protecting and promoting the rich legacy surrounding the brand, first and foremost is the commitment to continuing its British heritage and manufacturing. “The best thing we have going Day-1 is that we still have a top-notch manufacturing shop in the UK making all the classics just the same as the 70’s with Military Spec components and hand wiring… that’s what we’ll be promoting the 1st half of 2019”.

Along with all the historic hand made models, there are new Custom Shop products. One of the 1st new Hiwatt Custom Shop UK amp in many years is a multi-gain-stage head by famed designer, Mike Fortin. Atkinson reports that “although Fortin is best known for the most brutal heavy metal hi-gain offerings on the planet, this ‘SUPER-HI’ head does all that along with absolutely amazing rock and clean tones as well”.
Where most classic tube amps somehow can be traced back to Leo Fender's Bassman circuit and Phillips or RCA schematics, Hiwatt is a truly original circuit created by the late great amplifier genius Dave Reeves. It is well known that the high-headroom and broad spectrum of clean sound made Hiwatt the original amps best suited for pedals. “That original DR103 design is the core, that’s what we are building upon” claims Atkinson, “it’s an amazing amp design with endless possibilities, as a clean pedal platform, epic Rock tone or all the way to insane Hi-Gain like the Super-Hi... we are at the beginning of new heyday for Hiwatt!.”

Hiwatt also brings affordable UK designed Chinese made guitar and bass lines to many markets, including the US; for the first time. The Guitar "Crunch" and Bass "Bulldog" lines will be proudly on display at NAMM 2020.

Hiwatt boasts an unparalleled list of highly influential Artists that have used Hiwatt for Studio and Stage over the years including: Roger Waters and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, Pete Townshend and John Entwistle of the Who, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, Noel Gallagher of Oasis, The Killers, Jeff Matz of High on Fire and too many more to mention.

Visit the Hiwatt booth at 2020 NAMM in Hall D, Booth 5233, and be a part of Rock and Roll History. Currently seeking national distributors worldwide and dealers and reps in the US.

D’Angelico Guitars to Debut Premier Series Bob Weir Bedford Signature Model

NAMM 2020 - Misha Mansoor to Make Peavey® Booth Appearance at 2020 NAMM Show

Misha Mansoor to Make Peavey® Booth Appearance at 2020 NAMM Show
MERIDIAN, MS — This week at the 2020 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, keep an eye out for Misha Mansoor, founder and lead guitarist of the progressive metal band Periphery, who will make an appearance at Peavey’s booth 201A at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17.
Mansoor is widely known as one of the forerunners of djent, a subgenre of progressive metal. An innovator, producer and now an executive through his new label, 3DOT Recordings, Mansoor knows precisely what he wants from his amp, and eagerly worked with Peavey’s engineers to get it right. At the 2017 NAMM Show, Mansoor introduced the Peavey invective™.120 Head as his “dream amp.” In 2019, Peavey and Mansoor announced the invective™.MH, a scaled down version of the invective.120.
The invective.120 Head has a single input with three key remote switchable channels: Clean, Crunch and Lead. The innovative Clean channel is voiced to be pristine and is uniquely suited to work with closed back cabs, while the Lead and Crunch both have independent Pre and Post Gain controls as well as shared low/mid/high EQ. They also feature a shared switchable front end boost fast attack input noise gate with a threshold for complete control over muting. The standby and power switches with blue jeweled pilot light indicate when the amp is ready. Just adjust the Master Resonance, Presence and Volume knobs, and it's ready to rock.
The back panel of the invective.120 is where the real magic happens, through four matched JJ 6L6GC output tubes with top-loaded bias test points and adjustment. Players will also find paralleled speaker outputs with impedance selector, an MSDI direct output with Level/Tone/Ground Lift, MIDI out/thru, and MIDI footswitch input. The included footswitch has nine presets to help players achieve their desired tone. Other back-panel features include a remote switchable rack loop and effects loop, half-power switch, and two 9VDC at 500mA auxiliary power jacks.
Perfectly suited for the invective.120 Head, the solid-pine Peavey invective.212 and .412 cabinets provide the most responsive dynamics imaginable and complement the metal-standard Celestion Vintage 30 (8 ohms) speakers paired with the Creamback G12H-75 (8 ohms) speakers.
“It’s very tight as you can hear, and it handles any low frequencies you send it very well, but it doesn’t do it in any way that compromises the mid-range,” Mansoor said about the invective.212 cabinet. “You still get the mid-range harmonics, and you get the chords to ring out in a very nice and beautiful way.”
Plug right into either invective.212 or .412 cabinet using the ¼’’ inputs with Stereo/Mono switch. In Stereo, players will get a left/right configuration rated at 8 ohms per side at over 60 W (RMS) per side. In Mono mode, the cabinet becomes 16-ohms capable of handling 120 W (RMS) of thunderous power. The cabinet’s finger-jointed construction and premium components throughout ensure extreme road worthiness and reliability. Visit www.peavey.com to learn more.
Be sure to stop by Peavey’s booth #201A at Winter NAMM to meet the man who inspired the Peavey invective and the team that made his vision a reality.
